Libertyville likes garden idea:
Libertyville residents one day may be able to sow in a community garden, under a suggestion being pursued by the village. In December, resident Earl Hoover had suggested a community garden north of the Metra tracks on the east side of Milwaukee Avenue. Village staff estimated start up costs at $2,544, which would require a relatively high cost for the number of users that could fit in the space. However, the village board’s special projects committee likes the idea, and directed staff to look for a larger area that has parking and water available.
