Chicago men charged with robbing car sellers
Two Chicago men have been charged with setting up meetings with people trying to sell their cars and then robbing them.
Both 37-year-old James Mitchell and 21-year-old Arredeus Green are charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, armed robbery and theft.
Police allege that the pair would contact people using contact numbers in “For Sale” ads or signs. They’d then rob the victims either before or during a test drive.
Police say they were positively identified in line-ups.
The men are due in bond court Tuesday. It wasn’t immediately clear whether they have attorneys.
