Quincy encourages local history links at show

QUINCY — Quincy-area residents who want to display photos and artifacts with local historical links should attend the “Amateur History Road Show” Sunday.

The Quincy Park District and the Historical Society of Quincy and Adams County will host the show from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Emerson Community Center.

Mike Bruns of the park district says people may bring photos, artifacts, literature and stories about their families and other historical connections to Adams County history.

Those seeking admission should bring a canned good to be donated to a local food pantry.

Sales of merchandise will not be permitted. Nor will display of live ammunition or weapons.

Those who need a display table must fill out a registration form and return it by Friday.
