Gymnasts raise money for Make-A-Wish

Ultimate Gymnastics boys' team kicked off their season with their annual Make-A-Wish meet. Ultimate has hosted this meet for 11 years. Over the years they have raised over $330,500 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Each wish costs an average of $5,000, which means they have been able to grant 60 wishes.

The boys are off to a great start with four of the level 9 boys placing in the top four spots. Level 8 boys Alex Kern and Nicholas Hoppe took the first and second spots. The level 7 boys landed second through fourth places. Other highlights include first-time competitors Marcus Mittlestadrt on level 5 taking first place on vault, Corey Whelan on the level 4 team taking second on vault and placing second overall in the 8+ category, and Brady Mann on the level 4 team capturing second on rings in the 6-7 age group.

Head Coach Jon Klemens was pleased with the boys' first competition. “Our boys work hard and it's nice to see them start the season strong,” he said.
