Elgin Knights to host chili cookoff

On Saturday, Feb. 18, St. Thomas More School gym will be filled with the festive atmosphere of chili chefs cooking up their signature style of chili as part of the Elgin Knights of Columbus’ Chili for Charity Cookoff and Dinner.

This is the 14th year for this charity benefit, with the proceeds going to the local Catholic schools of Elgin, as well as Elgin Youth Sports and the Soup Kitchen of Elgin.

The chili judging will begin at 1 p.m., with the dinner to follow beginning at 3:30 p.m. Representatives from the administration of the local Catholic schools, as well as local area dignitaries, will be serving as the panel of judges.
