Two-day boating safety classes set

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 7-11 has scheduled a series of basic boating safety classes this winter and spring.

Each two-class session will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on consecutive Saturdays. This year’s sessions will be Feb. 25 and March 3; April 21 and 28; May 12 and 19; and June 9 and 16. The May classes will be at Bald Knob Marina, 515 Bald Knob Road in Johnsburg. The other three sessions will be at West Marine, 63 W. Rand Road in Arlington Heights.

The cost is $35 per individual or $50 per family. Participating children must be at least 12 years old.
