Man shot in domestic situation in Downers Grove
A man was shot in the neck during a domestic-related incident inside a Downers Grove home Sunday afternoon, according to police.
Police responded to the house on the 6300 block of Carpenter Street at about 12:19 p.m. and found the gunshot vicim, who was able to speak with officers at the scene, according to authorities.
Police said a woman is in custody and there is no threat to the public.
The gunshot victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment, police said.
No further details were available Sunday night, as the shooting remained under investigation.
