Bartlett police search for shooter

Bartlett police are investigating a shooting that took place early Sunday morning at the Cadillac Ranch, 1175 W. Lake St. The victim, a man in his early 20s, is in stable condition at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, said Bartlett police Cmdr. Mike McGuigan.

Police originally believed the man was shot twice in the head, but the second injury occurred as the victim fell to the ground.

“He is very, very lucky” to have survived the shooting, McGuigan said. “(We think) it was a very small-caliber bullet that hit him.”

The shooting took place about 3 a.m. Sunday.

“It happened just out in front in the foyer area,” McGuigan said.

Statements from witnesses indicate there was an argument between two patrons that led to the shooting, he said. The shooter fled the scene.

The victim was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, but was later upgraded to stable condition, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. Anyone with information should call Bartlett police at (630) 837-0846.
