Girl Scouts celebrate centennial
Cadette Girl Scouts from Troop 5673, based out of Geneva Middle School South, set up an exhibit Thursday at the Geneva History Center in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts. The exhibit includes period uniforms, patches, photos of events and related information.
“Girl Scout Century” opens Tuesday and runs through June 23 at the center, 113 S. Third St.
The center is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and admission is free.
At 2 p.m. March 4, the center will present “Daisy's Girls: Camping With Juliette Gordon Low,” about the founder of the Girl Scouts.
