Northwestern game day
Northwestern (15-8, 5-6) at Purdue (15-9, 5-6)
When: Sunday, 5 p.m. Mackey Arena
TV: Big Ten Network
Radio: WGN 720-AM
Skinny: Behind a career-high 23 points from Naperville's very own Dave Sobolewski, the Wildcats took care of business Thursday at home with an easy win over Iowa. The victory was their third straight in conference, the first time they've accomplished that feat since the 2008-9 season. Now comes the tough part: consecutive road games against Purdue and Indiana.
Northwestern will be out for a little revenge after dropping a 58-56 heartbreaker in Evanston courtesy of Ronnie Hummel's baseline jumper with 8 seconds left.
This may be a case of good timing for the Cats because the Boilermakers have dropped four of their last five, including a tight 87-84 decision at No. 3 Ohio State on Tuesday. D.J. Byrd led Purdue with 24 points
Next: Northwestern travels to Indiana on Wednesday for a 5:30 p.m. tipoff.
