No lawsuits on Hartwell’s watch
It’s election time again, with local and national primaries scheduled in Illinois on March 20. The Circuit Court Clerk’s office in Kane County has been stuck in neutral for too long. The Republican Primary features three candidates, the best of whom, in my opinion, is someone I know personally.
Tom Hartwell prefers performance over politics. He’s a Kane County attorney with more than 26 years of experience. In an office that’s not moving forward, what you have is a lack of leadership, efficiency and accountability.
Tom scores high marks on all three. Again, in my opinion, the other two candidates simply don’t measure up.
Tom has been a longtime community contributor, having managed and mentored youth sports groups, including the Elgin Continental Little League Baseball team that won the state championship in 2007. He is involved with his church. And for many years, he has run a successful law practice.
Anyone who knows Tom knows that his word is the glue that has held many legal contracts together.
Kane County Circuit Clerk’s office needs someone of his high caliber. The voters of Kane County do, too.
There won’t e any more lawsuits that will cost the county $600,000.
