Lake Villa Township job fair scheduled

Lake Villa Township is hosting a job fair for prospective employees and employers Thursday, Feb. 16.

For people living in the township who are unemployed or underemployed, this event will definitely be meaningful to you.

From 2 to 6 p.m., Lake Villa Township will partner with the Job Center of Lake County for the fair at the Lake Villa Township West Campus, formerly known as Gavin South School, 37850 N. Route 59, a half mile south of Grand Avenue.

A wide range of career and job opportunities will be represented, including professional, hourly, technical and nontechnical jobs. In addition, summer and part-time jobs will be available.

Training classes will also be offered during the job fair to prepare the participants to search for available jobs, write a captivating resume, and interview with prospective employers.

The job fair is free to all candidates and employers. If an employer has a job opening or expects to have openings in the upcoming months, this will be an opportunity to interview and screen candidates.
