Eighth-grader wins St. Anne spelling bee

On Friday, Jan. 27, St. Anne School, Barrington, kicked off Catholic Schools Week with the St. Anne Parish School Spelling Bee. Participants included two classroom winners from each homeroom in grades 4-8. The students showcased their spelling talents in front of the student body during an assembly period.
This year eighth-grader Liam Warner won to advance to the Lake County Sectional competition. The winning word that Warner spelled correctly was “systematic.”
