NIU Naperville welcomes Women’s Heart Symposium

Health professionals are invited to join Rush-Copley for the ninth annual Women’s Heart Symposium and dialogue with experts on the must current issues related to managing vascular disease in women.
The symposium, held Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Northern Illinois University’s Naperville campus, 1120 E. Diehl Road, is designed for cardiologists, family physicians, internists, obstetricians, gynecologists, residents, fellows, nurses, allied health professionals, medical and nursing students.
Topics covered will include vascular disease screenings, diagnostic strategies in vascular disease, endovascular management of peripheral artery disease, extra cranial carotid disease therapy options, management of patients with concomitant carotid and coronary artery disease, current management of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, role of estrogen in vascular disease and optimizing medical management in patients with vascular disease.
