Lombard water rate increases 12 percent
Water rates for Lombard residents will increase 12.16 percent beginning with the next bimonthly bill, after the village board this week gave final approval to a rate hike.
The increase would add $9.95 to each bill for the average consumer who uses 8,000 gallons of water in two months, according to a memo from Finance Director Tim Sexton.
Lombard approved the rate increase to pass along growing costs from the city of Chicago and the DuPage Water Commission to residents.
