‘Predict the Oscars’ contest on at Classic Cinemas

For the ninth time, Billy Crystal will host Hollywood’s big event — the 84th Oscars — at the Kodak Theatre, and now it’s your turn to predict who will take home those golden trophies during Classic Cinemas’ “Predict the Oscars” contest.

The grand prize winner will receive free movies for two for an entire year at any Classic Cinemas theater location, along with a gift card valued at $200, good at any of the 21 Chicago-area Francesca restaurants.

To enter, movie fans choose from among the nominees in the categories of Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Animated Film. Each of the 13 Classic Cinemas locations will select one correct ballot for entry in the grand prize drawing. The remaining 12 entries each will receive a movie pass for one for the entire year.

Additionally, every correct entry will receive a pair of tickets to Brookfield Zoo and a pair of movie passes to any Classic Cinemas location.

Patrons can complete and deposit their ballot in the lobby of any of the 13 Classic Cinemas theaters through Saturday, Feb. 25. Entrants must be at least 16 years old, and only one entry per day is allowed. Contest rules are on back of ballots and posted in the theater lobbies.

The “Predict The Oscars” contest is co-sponsored by the Daily Herald, Brookfield Zoo and Francesca’s Restaurants.

Established in 1978, Downers Grove-based Classic Cinemas is a family-owned company operated by Willis, Shirley and Chris Johnson. Classic Cinemas operates 13 theaters with 100 screens in 12 communities in the Chicago area.
