If yes, please explain: NoCandidate's Key Issues Key Issue 1 Limiting government intrusion on God-given, personal liberty. We are at a tipping point in history. Are we going to give government more or less authority over our lives' Our country was founded on getting out from under government oppression. Gratitude, personal responsibility and a strong work ethic are key.Key Issue 2 Limiting government taxation by examining and determining what is the responsibility of the tax-payer versus what is the responsibility of the non-tax payer. I'd also look to the private sector for budgeting and service solutions.Key Issue 3 Exposing and voting against the UN's "Agenda 21" which is the destruction of personal private property rights drastically reduces the world's population. The agenda is purposefully masked under the language of "Sustainable Development." This agenda is being adopted unwittingly across the country town by town, county by county. The "Smart Grid" is a large part of Agenda 21. The legislation being adopted will profoundly effect every one of us. Here is their goal: What is not sustainable? Ski runs, grazing of livestock, plowing of soil, building fences, industry, single family homes, paves and tarred roads, logging activities, dams and reservoirs, power line construction, and economic systems that fail to set proper value on the environment? - UN's Biodiversity AssessmentReport. Revealing the hidden agenda: So we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management or smart growth. - J. Gary Lawrence, advisor to President Clinton's Council on Sustainable DevelopmentQuestions Answers McHenry County has managed the recession without a budgetary crisis like those in other counties. How do you ensure the county continues on that path and that reserves aren't depleted? Are there specific budget areas that need more attention?McHenry County has been fiscally responsible which is commendable. We now face a new reality This reality is high unemployment, skyrocketing fuel and food prices, plummeting property values and Illinois businesses that are relocating to states with lower taxes and less regulation. These conditions will further burden property tax payers. These realities will need to be reflected in every line item in the budget. I start by suggesting the number of County Board members be cut down to 12 from the current 24 and putting a freeze on tax payer funded salaries.Does the McHenry County Board have a good transportation improvement plan? Please be specific and suggest whether you think anything is missing or should be scrapped.I do not have a deep knowledge of the transportation improvement plan. I will vote against any plan that enriches any politician or any connection to a politician.Does the county need to address its ethics policies' Why or why not? If so, how?County officials and politicians need to reveal any political connection(s) to projects being considered which recieve any tax money.Assess McHenry County's efforts thus far in terms of groundwater preservation and protection. What needs to be done now and in the future?By entering into a partnership with the Federal government in protecting ground water we must be aware of their ultimate goal of control(via an exhaustive permitting process and fines) and creating a new bureaucracy for the privilege. Giving the federal government control of our aquifers will thwart private property rights. Here is Agenda 21's take on and Private Property:"Land cannot be treated as an ordinary asset, controlled by individuals and subject to the pressures and inefficiencies of the market. Private land ownership is also a principle instrument of accumulation and concentration of wealth, therefore contributes to social injustice." -- From the report from the 1976 UN's Habitat I Conference. We must keep local control of our ground water without creating a new bureaucracy and surrendering the fruits of our labor.Assess how the county health department approached the whooping cough outbreak. What should have been done differently?Whooping cough outbreak?
