Shoppers flock to new Mariano's in Palatine
Droves of shoppers have begun filling the aisles of the long-awaited Mariano's Fresh Market, which opened its doors early Tuesday in Palatine.
The upscale grocery store, which bills itself as having world-class shopping at competitive prices, is the fifth Chicago-area Mariano's location, joining stores in Arlington Heights, Vernon Hills and two in Chicago.
The 70,000-square-foot building, at 545 N. Hicks Road, features amenities including more than 300 parking spots, a cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, pharmacy, access to certified dietitians, coffee and homemade gelato bar, sushi bar and partnerships with local restaurants.
The weather was agreeable for the grand opening of Marianos Fresh Market Tuesday in Palatine.
