PharMEDium to extend agreement with Novation

LAKE FOREST — PharMEDium has extended its agreement with Novation through October 2013 to deliver outsourced pharmacy compounding and admixture services, according to PharMEdium Chairman and CEO David N. Jonas.

Irving, Texas-based Novation delivers savings to nearly 25,000 VHA Inc. and the University HealthSystem Consortium member organizations and 5,500 Provista members covering 28,000 sites. In 2010, VHA, UHC and Provista members used Novation and alliance contracts to purchase about $40 billion in products and services.
