Dist. 44 offers kindergarten registration March 2

District 44 will again offer Full-Day Kindergarten during the 2012-13 school year. There will also be the option for half-day kindergarten. Registration for all students for either option will be held on Friday, March 2, from 7 a.m. to noon at all District 44 elementary schools.

 

To be eligible for kindergarten this fall, a child must be five years old on or before September 1.

Parents are required to bring a certified birth certificate to the registration.

Verification of Residency in District 44 is also required. Three current verification documents must be presented at registration time.

 

District 44 residents are urged to tell their friends and neighbors with children of kindergarten-age about the kindergarten registration.

Parents who are unable to register their child on March 2 should contact the school the child will attend (between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.), so that the district can make accurate space and staffing plans for the 2012-13 school year.
