Chicago man charged with robbing workers at Elk Grove Village warehouse

A Chicago man has been charged with armed robbery, accused of holding up workers early Saturday at a warehouse in Elk Grove Village.

Nathaniel J. Williams, 33, robbed two people inside a building at Busse Road and Greenleaf Avenue around 6 a.m., according to Elk Grove police public information officer Sgt. Nick Olsen. Williams displayed, and shot, a revolver, but no one was hurt, Olsen said.

Olsen did not know the name of the business, but authorities were seen investigating at Chicago Pallet Service Inc.

When Williams left, one of the victims followed the car Williams was driving and called police. Williams shot several times at the victim's vehicle, Olsen said.

The chase ended at Lee Street and I-90 in Rosemont, where, with the help of Rosemont police, Williams was taken into custody.

Williams is expected to appear in bond court Monday morning. Bail has not been set.

His last known address is the 9200 block of South University Avenue in Chicago.
