Quinn in New York for meeting
SPRINGFIELD — Gov. Pat Quinn is in New York for a meeting of the Democratic Governors Association.
The two-day event, which began Thursday, includes a session on creating jobs through public-private partnerships.
The agenda is also likely to include a healthy dose of politics. Twelve governor’s seats are up for election this year.
Quinn is finance chairman for the group, which means he oversees fundraising to help Democratic candidates for governor around the country.
