2 men rob Sunny’s Supermarket
Two men robbed the Sunny’s Supermarket store in North Aurora Sunday night.
The robbery was reported at 10:45 p.m. The store is at 5 S. Lincolnway (Route 31).
Police officers found the store clerk with his hands bound behind his back.
The clerk told police that five minutes earlier, two people entered the store, both armed with handguns.
One pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money from the cash register, while the other suspect locked the front doors, according to a police report.
After he opened the register, the clerk was pushed to the floor and bound.
The suspects took an unknown amount of money and left through the back door.
Both male suspects were between 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. Both wore masks and dark clothing, boots and gloves. Both had black and silver semiautomatic handguns, according to police.
A Naperville police dog searched the area but came up with nothing, police said.
