Daniels, Southern Illinois beat Bradley 77-60

CARBONDALE — Dantiel Daniels had a double-double and Southern Illinois shot nearly 60 percent in beating Bradley 77-60 on Tuesday night.

Daniels had 15 points and 10 rebounds for the Salukis (7-14, 4-6 Missouri Valley), who snapped a three-game losing streak. Mamadou Seck scored 15, Justin Bocot 11 and Jeff Early 10.

Southern Illinois made 28 of 47 shots (59.6 percent).

Taylor Brown scored 21 points and Dyricus Simms-Edwards 13 for the Braves (6-16, 1-9), who lost their third in a row and seventh straight road game.

Southern Illinois bolted to a 9-0 advantage before Brown scored the Braves’ first basket with 3:53 elapsed.

Bradley closed within 24-19, but Bocot’s 3-pointer put the Salukis ahead 32-21 with 3:52 left in the first half. The lead stayed in double figures the rest of the way.

The Salukis swept the season series, having won 74-65 on Jan. 4 in Peoria.
