Pfeifer drops out of county race

The lone Republican candidate for the Lake County Board’s 2nd District seat has dropped out of the race. Waukegan resident Dave Pfeifer cited personal reasons for his decision to withdraw. With no nominees, GOP leaders can appoint someone to run against the winner of a three-way Democratic runoff after the March 20 primary election.
