Christian Liberty, Maine West notch wins

A career-high 24 points by senior Kyle Moriarty helped Christian Liberty's boys basketball team match its victory total of last season with a 67-43 nonconference win Monday at Kirkland Hiawatha.

Moriarty and Luke Comerouski (19 points) hit three 3-pointers apiece for the Chargers (11-6), who were 11-15 last year. Mike Hennek added 10 points.

Maine West 51, Ida Crown 39: Conor Hart scored 21 points and Kevin Garcia added 12 as Maine West (9-9) rebounded from a pair of 2-point weekend losses for the nonconference victory.
