South Elgin Storm wins Bartlett basketball tourney

The Cross Town Classic Basketball Tournament is held at the Bartlett Community Center in Bartlett each year to give youth a chance to get out during holiday break and enjoy some friendly competition.
This year, the event drew 26 teams from Bartlett and South Elgin schools. Congratulations to the South Elgin Storm who won the series 8-5.
The event also served as a fundraiser for the Bartlett Parks Foundation, a nonprofit organization, that helps support the Park District in areas such as financial aid scholarships (including basketball participation at the park district), artwork for the community to enjoy and other charitable works.
A $1 donation was collected at the door resulting in over $450 being collected. The Bartlett Park District especially thanks Crown Trophy on Army Trail Road in Hanover Park for their generous donation of the over-3-foot-tall trophy that will be awarded to South Elgin. The final results of each game are:
