Woodland Middle School science fair

Woodland Elementary District 50’s middle school will host the 2012 Science Fair Open House at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Woodland Middle School is at 7000 Washington St., Gurnee. “At each year’s fair, I am continually amazed by our students’ dedication to creating informative, intricate, and original projects,” said Sharon Anday, science fair coordinator. “This level of excellence could not be achieved without hours of hard work put forth by the students, their seventh-grade science teachers, and their parents.” The purpose of the fair is to give seventh-grade students an opportunity to explore their interest in a scientific way. About 50 volunteer judges are expected, including parents, military, district residents and representatives of local organizations.
