Naperville men charged with stealing cash, electronics

Two Naperville men were being held Friday in Will County jail on charges they stole electronics and cash from five vehicles, authorities said.

Austin L. Durbin, 18, of the 5300 block of Velvet Bent Court, and Joshua A. Hagan, 18, of the 2800 block of Cedar Glade Drive, were charged with burglary and multiple counts of criminal trespass to vehicles after they were arrested about 1 a.m. Jan. 14 near Brossman and Darwin streets, Naperville Sgt. Gregg Bell said.

Bell said officers were called to the 3300 block of Brossman Street after witnesses saw Durbin and Hagen lifting door handles of vehicles.

Following a quick search of the area, Bell said the two were spotted carrying a black bag. An investigation revealed proceeds from at least five car burglaries in their possession, Bell said.

The two were arrested, processed at the Naperville Police Department and sent to Will County jail.

Both are scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 8, Bell said.
