Obama energy plan is full of flaws

Like it or not, our country’s phenomenal economic success depends on a reliable supply of low cost energy. I am a retired, professional engineer with 35 years experience in the electric power industry. During that time I worked to help provide the country with low-cost, safe, reliable electric power. I take offense when somebody treats that work with low regard.

And then comes this man, Barack Obama, who offers to adopt a national energy scheme that, in his words, will naturally cause electric power rates to skyrocket. This is a man attempting to lead the country in such a direction with no expertise in this area and no appreciation for the consequences of his ideas. Or, worse, he does not care.

There are many ways we can do better with our energy supply that not only reduce consumption but also keep costs down. This is where we should be headed. Skyrocketing electric power rates would increase the cost of just about everything, killing jobs, reducing tax revenues, driving more citizens into poverty and likely triggering a deep economic depression. Obama needs to go.
