Keep an eye out for motorcycles
I know it’s not expected this time year but motorcyclists will jump at the chance to take advantage of good riding weather anytime of the year.
I was one of them recently riding through the Fox Valley area. There were several vehicles that were not paying attention or expecting motorcyclists to be on the road during this time of year.
More than two-thirds of car-motorcycle crashes are caused by car drivers, not by motorcyclists. The driver either does not see the oncoming motorcyclist at all or does not see the motorcyclist in time to avoid a crash. Let’s make sure we don’t meet by accident. Please be aware of motorcycles at all times of the year.
