Woodland drama performance:

Woodland Middle School’s Drama Club presents “Much Ado About Coconuts” at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 27 and at 6 p.m. on Jan. 28 at the school, 7000 Washington St., Gurnee. The life of a lazy American consul and his assistant are turned upside down when a proper Ms. Garfield is sent to their tiny island to shape things up. Things only get worse, however, when they accept a business offer to sell shoes in a place where almost no one wears shoes. To make matters even more confusing, agents and a wannabe play director invade El Cansado and all want something different from this kooky island. Tickets are $3 for children under 13 and $5 for adults. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
