Des Plaines Theatre will show ’86 Super Bowl
A replay of the Chicago Bears’ 1986 Super Bowl victory will highlight a fundraiser hosted by the Des Plaines Deep Green Committee at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 at the Des Plaines Theatre, 1476 Miner St.
The committee has a signed contract with NFL Films giving permission to show the game one week ahead of this year’s Super Bowl, said 6th Ward Alderman Mark Walsten said.
All proceeds will benefit Deep Green’s efforts. The committee works with city government, local businesses and educational institutions to develop projects to make efficient use of natural resources.
