St. Matthew celebrates:

Students in grades preschool through eighth at St. Matthew Lutheran School in Hawthorn Woods will begin Lutheran Schools Weeks by participating in the 10:45 a.m. church service on Sunday, Jan. 22. The celebration continues throughout the week with various themes such as “Crazy Hair Day” (Monday), “P.J. Day” (Tuesday), “Backwards Day” (Wednesday) and “Sportswear Dress-up Day” (Thursday). Students will conclude the week with “Spirit Day” on Friday, participating in a chapel service at 9:15 a.m. and a pep assembly at 2 p.m. Students will also visit the various church organizations that meet during the week to express “thanks” for the work they do for the church and school.
