Candidacy challenge not very American
I am disturbed by the recent challenge to Jose Sifuentes’ candidacy by a supporter of Cristina Castro’s campaign for Kane County Board. It was claimed that Mr. Sifuentes was not registered and did not live in the county, both of which were proven untrue.
If this had come from a Republican, I would try to understand it, but Democrats claim to be more inclusive and compassionate.
Truly, Ms. Castro considers County Board District 20 to be her domain, when, in fact, it belongs to the people.
Or is it Mr. Sifuentes’ Hispanic heritage that concerns Ms. Castro?
Not very American.
