Chicago State gets its 1st win
Jeremy Robinson scored 29 points to help Chicago State get its first victory of the season, 91-63 over St. Francis (Ill.) on Sunday.
Robinson made 11 of 14 shots from the field and also had nine rebounds, four blocks and four assists for the Cougars (1-16).
Ardarius Simmons added 14 points, Jacobby Anderson had 13, Lee Fisher 12 and Aaron Williams 10.
Jordan Lee scored 19 points off the bench for St. Francis (9-7), an NAIA school that was counting the game as an exhibition.
Chicago State shot 53 percent from the field, including 9 of 23 shooting on 3-point attempts, and outrebounded the Fighting Saints 40-26.
St. Francis shot 39 percent from the field and was just 6 of 27 from beyond the arc.
