Obama too sure of his successes

Here we are, fellow citizens in a new presidential election year, and the incumbent, Barack Obama, will be running against a Republican hopeful yet to be determined. Looking back on almost three years of his administration we see that unemployment has increased from 7.8 percent to about 9 percent. The value of the houses we live in has decreased unbelievably, lowering everyone’s net worth. Retirees like myself who had no problem living off Social Security and income that no longer exists from investments are now paying bills and taxes, buying food and clothing and donating to charity with so-called nest egg money that decreases each month.

The country is borrowing money at an unprecedented pace to pay bills and spend on useless projects. Government waste and inefficiency is astronomically high. This country isn’t far from bankruptcy largely because of the inaptitude of the administration these past three years.

In spite of all the misery we have seen during the Obama years, when asked on national television how he would grade his presidency, Mr. Obama replied, “I am the fourth greatest president, behind only Lyndon Johnson, FDR and Abraham Lincoln.” Now folks, let me tell you, I have listened in distain to all those birthers who try to make a case for Mr. Obama not being born in the United States. Being a rational person, I have always thought the birthers to be a little bit short of brain cells, but after hearing how Mr. Obama grades his failed presidency, I am now of the opinion that he is from some other planet.
