State drivers' office to close Monday

CHICAGO — If you need to renew your Illinois driver's license or have other business with a secretary of state office, Monday won't be the day to do it.

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White reminds residents that all driver-services facilities will be closed on Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

And any facilities that are normally open from Tuesday through Saturday will close next week on this Saturday (Jan. 14).

White's office notes that some services are offered online 24/7. That includes renewing license plate stickers if drivers have already received a renewal form through the mail.
