Convert Chicago libraries to casinos?

Now that Rahm Emanuel has determined that he wants to reduce library hours and actually eliminate some library buildings, and at the same time he has bought into the theory that raising money through the expansion of “gaming” activities (“gambling” for those who are not state lawmakers) is a wise way for the state to achieve revenue increases, I have an idea to assist him in making the transition.

Instead of (ultimately) tearing down the underutilized library buildings, why not convert those underutilized library buildings into casinos? This plan would solve two problems at the same time to hasten our move into a Pottersville type of economy as envisioned by Mr. Potter in the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life.”
