Buffalo Grove animal clinic donates pet food
Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC) in Buffalo Grove and its clients donated more than 1,200 pounds of pet food and necessities, as well as more than $2,500 to Nina’s Pet Food Pantry. The donations were collected at VSC between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31. “When people are going through tough financial times, pets are often left behind or neglected,” said VSC Client Service Administrator Lisa Sadak. “Nina’s Pet Food Pantry is a great way to keep pets with their families and in good homes.” Nina’s Pet Food Pantry operates out of the food pantry at St. Vincents de Sales Parish in Lake Zurich and the Palatine Township Food Pantry. Nina’s Pet Food Pantry program was created in 2009 by Young at Heart Pet Rescue when the family of Nina (a Portuguese water dog and former client of VSC) donated a generous grant in her memory.
