Focus on Obama’s bypassing of laws

Despite our current president’s tendency to ignore our representatives and do as he pleases without the input from our elected officials, no man or woman should be allowed to do so. Why? It could cut both ways, and do we all want the government swinging from the far left to the far right each election based on one man’s actions?

Isn’t that why we elected people locally? Which brings me to Rick Santorum. Despite his views on abortion, and or gay marriage and whatever else they’re pursuing, he alone would not make that decision. In fact the only way abortion will be changed is in the hearts and minds of younger generations, who show signs of respecting life more than the baby boomers do. Even the courts won’t overturn abortion now.

Similarly, society has shown an acceptance of gay rights over the past 20 years,

and it is doubtful based on history that any of those rights would be taken away if Santorum was elected president. Even when the Republicans had complete control of the presidency, Senate and House under Bush, no federal laws were passed restricting the rights of gays.

So society should focus what the current president is doing by bypassing laws, the constitution and our elected officials instead of worrying about a what won’t happen under any Republican president. No one man should and no one man would.
