Starting Vegetables from Seed

Smart Farm of Barrington is conducting a class on Starting Vegetables from Seed for the 2012 growing season. It is the second in a series of three classes on creating successful back yard vegetable gardens. The class will teach you how to start your vegetable plants from seed. Starting plants from seed is the most economical way to grow plants and allows you to choose from the widest variety of vegetables. Please register at www.smartfarms.org. Preparing Your Vegetable Garden

Smart Farm of Barrington is conducting a class on Preparing Your Vegetable Garden for the 2012 growing season. It is the third in a series of three classes on creating successful back yard vegetable gardens for the 2012 growing season. Soil preparation, watering methods, weed barriers, pest protection and planting will be discussed. Please register at www.smartfarms.org. There is no charge for this class.
