Why do you need to talk so much?
Have you ever wondered who they are talking to when you see: drivers talking on cellphones as they drive, women pushing full grocery carts down the aisle with cellphones held between their shoulder and ear, and people walking down the street talking on a cellphone?
Go into a restaurant and if the person is not speaking on a cellphone, the phone is usually on the table ready to be used. Are they all business people negotiating important deals?
Who is everyone talking to and how did they talk to whoever they are talking to 10 years ago before the cellphone craze began? Did they do all this talking on their land phones?
Is there anything more irritating that being out in public and having to listen to someone talking so loud that everyone within 25 feet can hear what the person is saying?
In Illinois almost 50 percent of all high school juniors fail to meet minimum standards in reading; but I would bet they all know how to text and navigate the menu on their smart phones.
I am beginning to feel as though I am under attack from the cellphone people; they are everywhere and I am powerless to do anything about it.
