Grayslake North wins 13th straight

Whoever thinks the number 13 is unlucky should talk to Grayslake North's girls basketball team.

The Knights won their 13th game in a row, outscoring Woodstock's Blue Streaks 38-12 in the second half to win 61-30 Friday night in Woodstock.

The victory gave Grayslake North (13-3, 4-0 Fox Valley Fox) the school record for wins in a season.

Joanna Guhl led Grayslake North by scoring 13 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. Kendall Detweiler added 12 points, and Jordyn Bowen had 10. Allie Ceglarek dished out 5 assists for the Knights.

Bowen, Ceglarek, Guhl and Brooke Sauer each had 3 steals.

Grayslake Central 44, Crystal Lake Central 26: Morgan Dahlstrom led the Rams, scoring 11 points. Beth Arnold scored 9, and Skyler Jessop added 8.

Grayslake Central improved to 14-3 overall and 4-0 in the Fox Valley Fox.

The Rams visit Grayslake North on Tuesday night.
