More reasons to restore death penalty
I read in the Daily Herald the story of the little 9-year-old child murdered in Fort Wayne, Ind. She was killed with the use of a brick, her head, hands and feet were cut off and hidden in a freezer while the rest of her body was dumped nearby.
I know that I can’t be the only one sickened by this tragedy. I look upon our state and wonder why, why was the death penalty dropped? If ever a case calls for the death penalty, this is it. We let a crook like Gov. Ryan let everyone loose on Death Row and just sit back. We let our legislators, along with Gov. Quinn, just let the penalty go against the wishes of the majority of the people of Illinois.
What do we have to do in Illinois and in other states like us to have someone say that enough is enough? You murder someone in the state and are convicted of it with proof beyond a doubt, and you will die.
