Provena in Aurora picks new CEO

Provena Mercy Medical Center in Aurora has chosen Maureen Bryant as its new president and chief executive officer.

She has 24 years experience in hospital leadership and most recently worked as president and CEO of Morton Hospital and Medical Center in Massachusetts. Bryant also has worked at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet as well as hospitals in New York and Ohio.

Provena chooses executives who can embrace the values of its Catholic health care ministry and work to deliver patient- and family-centered care, the hospital says.

Bryant will lead Mercy medical center beginning Feb. 6.
