Skinny: Both clubs are looking for their first Big East victory. DePaul had a tough time against No. 1 Syracuse on Sunday (87-68), while Pittsburgh fell to Cincinnati (66-63) for its third straight loss. DePaul’s Jeremiah Kelly is the third player in team history with at least 300 career assists and 130 career 3-pointers, and center Cleveland Melvin (18.8 ppg) reached double figures for the 12th time this season. No. 2 scorer Brandon Young (16.1 ppg) was held scoreless, although he did hand out 8 assists. The Panthers have balanced scoring led by senior guard Ashton Gibbs (16.9) and forward Nasir Robinson, plus sixth man Tray Woodall (12.4). They lead the nation in rebounding margin, but Pitt has had trouble hitting the from the field, making just 66 of 164 shot attempts in its 3 straight losses and 8 of 48 from the 3-point line.
