N. Ind. devastated by shooting of daughter’s horse
PLYMOUTH, Ind. — A northern Indiana couple is devastated over the fatal shooting of a young horse that belonged to their 6-year-old daughter.
WSBT-TV reports Brian Watts found the year-old foal Faith dead Thursday from a gunshot wound to the lungs. He believes someone intentionally shot Faith on their Plymouth farm.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the shooting.
Brian and Stacy Watts say their daughter Sara loved the horse and helped them deliver the foal a year ago. Stacy Watts hopes the public helps find the person who shot their beloved horse.
The couple decided not to tell their daughter about the shooting and have bought her another horse.
Stacy Watts says that won’t replace Faith but will help fill a void and keep Sara’s love for horses going.
