Virgin America plane clips fence at O’Hare
A Virgin America airplane clipped a fence at O’Hare International Airport on Saturday afternoon, transportation officials said.
No injuries were reported.
One of the airplane’s wings hit the fence about 2:30 p.m. while the plane was departing the gate, a spokeswoman with the Chicago Aviation Department said.
The flight, No. 837, was bound for San Francisco.
The accident will be investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board, according to the aviation department.
An airline representative could not be reached for comment Saturday.
No other details were available.
