Volunteer opportunities in Lake County

The Lake County Forest Preserve District will hold an open house for those interested in volunteer opportunities on Wednesday, Jan. 4.

Volunteers assist in programs and events including education, outdoor recreation, special events and restoration.

The event will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the district’s main office, 1899 W. Winchester Road, Libertyville. Anyone 15 or older can attend.
